How can an SRO help?

Keep a journal with gang member names, date of births, and
nicknames, along with gang affiliation. Nicknames are very
important due to the fact that gang members usually only know each other
by nicknames.

Stay in contact with investigators working narcotics,
robbery, and homicide because SROs are a great source of intelligence
information. Remember, many shooting incidents begin as a fistfight in the
schools.
