INFORMATION
Program Name: D.A.R.E.
Contact: Chief Randall A. Grady
Program Description: The D.A.R.E. Program is
taught in K-5 in our school. We have two
certified
D.A.R.E. Officers. The D.A.R.E. Officers are only in the school
one day a
week. The Officers are always stopping in at the
school chatting with the
students. The Police Department sponsors drug and
violence free dances
and trips to amusement
parks as well. It is funded through the
cities of
Marquette, McGregor,
Monona, Luana, Farmersburg, and Giard as they are
all in the school
district. The program is also partially
funded by donations
made by businesses and
citizens.

Association lobbies for state money which is then
used to pay for the
books and a reduced price for T-shirts that are given to
each student that graduates from the program.

Program
Name: Personal contact
Contact: Chief Butch Rulla
Program Description: I work with the school
system to take over and handle any violent or potential
violent situations and criminal activity in or
out of the school system.
Personal contact is made
in the grade school through programs put on by the
Police Department and one on one contact and
follow up outside the school.
Any criminal activity is addressed immediately
by working with the juvenile
system to began a
tracking of individual problem children.
