Resources used to
deliver program:
Each fifth grade student
receives a DARE workbook, pencil, eraser, ruler,
and any other items
needed to do the work. Each student that meets the
requirements for
graduation receives a diploma and DARE T-shirt for
reaching that goal. The
third grade students receive pencils, eraser,
stickers, and other
items to reinforce the anit-drug/anti-violence message.
The third grade program
is set up to ready the students for the fifth grade
curriculum. Several
teaching aides are used because each student learns
differently. This may be
something written on the chalkboard, charts,
handouts, or verbal
instruction and reading.
